Note on Charges
Except for those who receive Income Support or Pension Credit, Doncaster Council Neighbourhood, Communities and Children's Services will make charges for the use of Day Care Facilities. For those who are not willing to have a financial assessment and for those with savings/assets over £22,250, the charge will be the full cost.
Where a financial assessment is made, account will be taken of certain types of income and from this figure will be deducted sums in respect of savings/assests under £22,250 but more than £13,500, and account will be taken of the value of any land or property other than the house you live in. This assessment will determine what is regarded as your disposable income and the charge for day care will be the full cost or an amount equal to your disposable income, whichever is the lower amount.
