Doncaster Talking Newspapers for the Blind
Works to assist Blind and Partially Sighted people, or those with some temporary or permanent incapacity which makes reading difficult, by provision of news/local magazine/audio book reviews on USB (MP3) memory sticks.
The Talking Newspaper is issued fortnightly and either the Talking Magazine or Sound Around (new library audio book reviews) every month.
Those who are registered Blind or Partially Sighted receive the recordings by Royal Mail Freepost.
Other listeners must nominate from which Doncaster Library they wish to collect their recordings.
All existing and newly registered blind or partially sighted members receive a free player, unless they already have the means to listen to USB (MP3) recordings.
Eligibility: Registered Blind and Registered Partially Sighted persons.
