Doncaster BSL Interpreting Service
Residents of Doncaster can now access communications support services in a new way. BID Services, who work in partnership with deaf people and other communities to deliver a range of specialist support services, will be providing communications support to people in Doncaster who need to access mainstream services.
BID Services has been delivering high quality interpreting services since 1994, and only uses highly trained language professionals who are NCRPD registered and qualified to NVQ Level 4/6.
If you live in Doncaster, you may be eligible to receive free communication support for a range of appointments, including health, social care, council, welfare rights, parents meetings, funerals and other appointments.
Eligibility: To receive communications support, you need to be a resident in Doncaster.An interpreter will be provided free of charge for a range of appointments, including:
- Meetings with Doncaster Borough Council
- Housing related issues
- Funerals for family and close friends
- Doncaster Deaf Action Group meetings
- Doncaster Deaf Society Meetings
- Parents meeting with school representatives
- Doctors, hospitals and other health appointments
For other appointments, please contact us as we may be able to arrange an interpreter, but this will depend upon the circumstances.
If you live outside of Doncaster and wish to book an interpreter, we can still help you but this will be chargeable.
