English Federation of Disability Sport
Umbrella organisation to co-ordinate & promote sport for disabled people.
Aims: To co-ordinate and develop sport for disabled people in England.
- Lobbies and campaigns to demonstrate that disabled people have a right to access sport as a matter of common principal.
- Working to provide new and improved sporting opportunities for disabled people in England, the EFDS utilises the seven Sports England recognised National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSO). In partnership with these and others they research and develop national priorities and uses a network of ten regional offices to accommodate local needs.
Local Groups: Runs nine regional offices, contact national organisation for information on local services.
