Rethink Mental Illness, the leading national mental health membership charity, works to help everyone affected by severe mental illness to receive a better quality of life.
Aims: To make a practical and positive difference by providing hope and empowerment through effective services, information and support to all those who need them.
- Rethink Mental Illness offers a full spectrum of services, including housing, community services, services to support carers, employment and training services, registered care and nursing homes, telephone helplines, and advocacy services.
- Rethink Mental Illness also offers a range of specialist services, including services for people from black and ethnic minorities, for people leaving care, mentoring services, mental health promotion, as well as Act Up, their theatre company. They are also piloting a Self-Management programme, as well as working together with NIMHE on a National Early Intervention programme.
