Save The Children (UK)
Helping children to live better lives.
Aims: To fight for children's rights and deliver immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives world-wide.
- Save the children works in the UK and across the world. Emergency relief runs alongside long-term development and prevention work to help children, their families and communities to be self-sufficient. The organisation learns from the reality of children's lives and campaigns for solutions to the problems they face.
- They gain expertise through their projects round the world and use that knowledge to educate others. All Save The Children's work is underpinned by their commitment to making a reality of the rights of children, first spelt out by their founders and now enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
