The Mentor Foundation
Organisation dedicated to prevent drug misuse and promote the health and well-being of young people.
Aims: Is aimed at all who wish to know more about drug abuse prevention and for those who wish to be more active in helping to prevent substance abuse as well as promoting health, opportunities and protection for young people.
Activities: Creates and undertakes youth oriented drug prevention programmes that are scientifically sound to be implemented on a national or international basis. With its primary target group of young people, it undertakes projects and identifies promising and best practice.
Mentor's project work can be grouped into 5 key areas:
- Information and Policy Development
- Vulnerable Groups
- Research, evaluate and support prevention development projects in collaboration with or on behalf of other international agencies, NGO's or governments to assist them in developing programmes that are of the highest calibre
- Act as a consultant in providing advice, training, evaluation and project management for international agencies and governments wishing to develop or improve their prevention policy and practice
