Turning Point is the UK's leading social care organisation. They provide services for people with complex needs, including those affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health problems and those with a learning disability.
Aims: To reverse the inverse care law, which states that those with the most needs are in reality the least likely to receive the support that they need. To use its experience to influence national and local policy and help those using its services express their expectations and right to support.
- Providing effective, outcome-based services across the sectors of Substance Misuse, Mental Health, Learning Disability and Employment.
- Providing a person centred response working with whole people, not single problems.
- Providing integrated services that enhance local provision, providing effective services for both Commissioners and individuals respectively.
