A range of public services available in South Yorkshire can now be accessed through the use of the Internet, Digital Interface TV, Mobile Phones and selected Kiosks deployed in South Yorkshire. Subscribers to these services can find information, get advice, and send messages to the council and other public service providers through a service called e@SYCONNECTS TV.

Services include:

• Request a housing benefit claim form.
• Find information about Council waste management including a facility to explain why bins have not been collected on a scheduled day.
• Request an air quality reading.
• Inform the council of a complaint, compliment or suggestion.
• Inform the council of an abandoned vehicle.
• Check location of speed cameras.
• Information about debt management and debt advice.
• Check the status of a current benefit claim.
• Send details of repairs required to a council property and request call back at specified time.
• Fire Safety advice.
• 24/7 GP appointment booking service.

e@SYCONNECTS TV has been developed by e@SYCONNECTS (Electronic Services for South Yorkshire) a public sector partnership which includes the South Yorkshire local authorities, health authorities, emergency services, voluntary sector, Job Centre Plus, Yorkshire Forward and the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.
