Description:
Support group for partially sighted people.

Aims:
To help those with a visual impairment make the most effective use of any remaining vision they have.

Activities:

• Provides information and advice, free of charge by letter or phone, on any aspect of living or working with impaired vision.
• Supplies aids to vision such as magnifying aids, lighting, talking watches, large print and diaries etc.
• Provides a special printing and enlargement service, including large print music, knitting patterns etc.
• Employs low vision therapists who are specially trained orthoptists who carry out Low Vision Assessments.
