Eligibility: There are no restrictions on who may use the service.
Referral: Clients who wish it can be referred to Voluntary organisation. Arrangements can be made for a client to visit a Voluntary organisation.
Access: Unrestricted access. The Volunteer Centre is accessible to disabled people.
Transport: The Volunteer Centre is on a bus route. Car Parking in front of Volunteer Centre is available.
Cost: There is no cost to clients using the service.
Description:
The Volunteer Centre advises and supports people who wish to undertake voluntary work. The Volunteer Centre staff can arrange referrals and help with placements.
The Volunteer Centre collects information on the structure, purpose and work of voluntary and community organisations, not only in the Doncaster area, but also throughout the country and overseas.
Volunteer Centre staff pass on information to personal visitors, to telephone enquiries, and to people who write to the Volunteer Centre.
The Volunteer Centre offers advice to manager or co-ordinators of voluntary organisations on recruitment and management of volunteers, and on legal aspects of volunteering.
The Volunteer Centre aims to promote volunteering and active citizenship.
It aims to raise the profile of volunteering.
The Volunteer Centre administers a Volunteer award scheme.

The Volunteer Centre opening times are:
Mondays: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Thursdays: 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm.
Tuesdays: Drop-in facilities 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
