Description:
The Service provides assessment and provision of wheelchairs to people with apermanent walking or mobility problem (over 6 months) or a temporary mobility problem (Short Term Loan). Clients must be registered with a Doncaster GP.

A wheelchair can be requested by your GP or therapist with the approval of a GP. A range of chairs is provided for people of all ages. An Occupational Therapist will assess needs, preferably in the clinic. Clinics are held daily. The wheelchairs are adapted to meet the client's individual needs if required. The Service provides manual and powered wheelchairs, special seating and pressure care cushions for use in the whhelchair. They also maintain all wheelchairs provided by the Service. They do not provide powered wheelchairs for just outdoor use or electric scooters.
