Caretogether offers support and information for carers looking after someone with cancer or life limiting illness. It offers carers the opportunity to take a break from their caring responsibilities, maybe learn something new, to meet and relax in the company of other carers.
Caretogether offers a monthly meeting of social, information and support for carers, which may include stress management, educational sessions, back care, complementary therapy or sometimes a meal out. They recognise the difficulties carers may face when wanting to take part in events/meetings they may be able to arrange some respite through Hospice at Home (if appropriate) to care for the cared for person, they will also try to help with transport to and from their monthly meetings/events, these are free of charge.

Emotional Support:
If you simply need to talk to someone or have a question about your caring situation you can contact them by telephone, or call into the Information and Support Centre. One of the Cancer Connections Team will be available to listen to your concerns, and can put you in touch with other services if you appropriate. They also offer individual appointments or if you wish you could come into the Centre on Monday afternoon from 1:00 pm till 2:30 pm, no appointment needed, where one of the friendly Centre Advisors will be happy to have a chat and a cup of tea.
