Eligibility: Parents and/or carers of pre-school children (under 5) with a diagnosis of ASD. Two places per family.
Description:
The Earlybird programme is a 3 month parent programme combining group training sessions for parents with individual home visits. Video feedback is used to help parents apply what they learn in group sessions when working with their child.

Aims:

  • To empower parents/carers.
  • To help establish good practice in these very important early years of development.

The programme helps you:

  • Understand your child's autism.
  • Structure interactions to development communication.
  • Develop stratergies to pre-empt problem behaviours and/or to manage those which do occur.
