Referral: Telephone or visit to the office by anyone.
Access: Good wheelchair access, lift available.
Transport: Any public transport. Limited Car Parking space for the Disabled.
Home visits where necessary.
Cost: Free & Confidential Service.
Description:
Provide Free and Confidential Advice on Welfare Benefit and related issues for the Black and Asian Community.
The following language support is available to the service users: Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu & Bengali.
Assists clients with completing Benefit Claim forms.
Also carry out Reviews and assist with Appeals.
Runs Outreach sessions for specific Community Groups.
Raises awareness of the role of the Benefit Advice Agencies to members of the Black and Asian Community.
Provides an Interpreting and Escorting service to the Benefits agencies when required.
Gives details of other agencies which could help the service users.
