Description:
Breast Cancer Care in the UK's leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer.
They have a network of volunteers with a personal experience of breast cancer who are trained to provide emotional support.
Male volunteers are available for men with breast cancer, partner volunteers are available too.

Aims:

  • To offer information, practical assistance and emotional support to women and men with breast cancer or other breast-related problems as well as their families, partners and friends.
  • To be commited to providing accessible, high quality services for everyone affected by breast cancer.

Activities:

  • National helpline.
  • Ask the Nurse e-mail service.
  • Telephone support groups.
  • Aftercare services (including prosthesis fitting).
  • Volunteer services.
  • Health Educational Programmes.
