Description:
National voluntary support organisation for all people with arthritis.

Aims:
To promote health, well-being and independence through services, support, self-help, campaigning and information.

Activities:

• Provides a helpline service by telephone or letter, as well as a freephone helpline which is available Monday to Friday 12.00 noon to 4.00pm.
• Runs 4 hotels.
• Operates a helpline for young people called "The Source".
• Runs a range of self-management and personal development courses, giving people the confidence and skills to manage their arthritis as well as putting people with arthritis in touch with each other through their network of branches and groups.
