Description:
The Trust is based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust Scoliosis Unit at Stanmore, the largest in the UK, and offering the most comprehensive range of treatment available for Scoliosis (a condition where the spine is bent to one side).
Aims:
- To provide and promote by all means the research and study of the cause and treatment of Scoliosis and other spinal deformities and to endow research fellowship in the study of the disorders.
- To improve the standard of the knowledge of the means of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.
- To promote the publication, production and distribution of books, pamphlets, periodicals and videos on spinal deformities.
- To improve and extend facilities with the Scoliosis Unit.
Activities:
- Advice and information to parents and patients with Scoliosis.
- Raising funds for research into the condition.
