Description:
Hearing Concern is a people-centred charity offering one-to-one support, advice, access and inclusion to all deaf and hard of hearing people whose main mode of communication is speech.

Aims:
To be dedicated to improving the quality of life for those who are hard of hearing.

Activities:

• Provides information, advice and support to hard of hearing people throughout the UK.
• Operates a National Helpdesk.
• Supports a nationwide network of over 200 trained volunteer advisers.
• Provides training and advice to local Volunteer Suport Schemes (VSS).
• Promotes the use and provides information about lipreading and lipreading classes.
• Provides help, guidance and demonstration of various environmental aids available.
