Aims:

• To ease the stress on families who care for severely disabled children aged 16 or under.
• To provide assistance to families with severely ill or disabled children through grants and information.
• To provide timely grants to families with severely disabled or seriously ill children aged 16 years or younger.

Activities:

• Provides grants - The help covered by a grant would include laundry equipment, holidays, leisure activities, driving lessons, bedding and clothing.
• Provides information related to the care of the child.
• The Fund focuses on families in greatest need, this means the Fund can help if a household income is £23,000 gross per annum or less, and where household savings do not exceed £18,000. These limits are kept under constant review. If a household income exceeds these limits families can still benefit from information provided by the Fund on various aspects of caring for a disabled or seriously ill child.

Applications should be in writing, giving the child's full name and date of birth, address, brief details of their disability and the kind of help needed.
