Description:
Provides services for people with Cerebral Palsy, families & carers.
Aims:
- To create, in partnership with others, an environment in which any person with cerebral palsy or an associated disability may determine his or her own way of life.
- To lead the way in providing a range of services for people with Cerebral Palsy, offering them the opportunity to live fulfilling and rewarding lives.
Activities:
- Cerebral Palsy Helpline, available seven days a week (Mon - Fri 9am to 9pm, Sat & Sun and Bank Holidays 2pm - 6pm) for information, advice and initial counselling.
- Education, residential and day services including schools, colleges, residential and day care centres and career advice services.
- Local Community Teams providing a ange of information and support.
- Fast Track Employment Scheme which aims to place disabled trainees of graduate level with the UK's leading companies.
- Supported Employment Programme which provides opportunities in integrated employment for people with disabilities.
Local Groups:
Local offices provide contact with a network of over 280 affiliated local groups.
