Description:
Centre which provides residential theatre and music courses for young disabled adults.

Aims:
To offer a varied selection of short residential theatre and music courses for young disabled adults, with the best facilities and tutors.

Activities:

  • The Orpheus Centre is a residential arts facility for young disabled adults. The site has a theatre, recording studios, rehearsal space and accommodation.
  • The Centre is also a residential care home providing support to develop personal and life skills for young disabled people (18 - 25). Places are for 1 -3 years, funded through social services. Service users have an individual action plan and pursue personal and artistic goals. Literature available on application to the Centre .

  • Song writing.
  • Dance.
  • Composition.
  • Recording.
  • Video.
  • Lighting.
  • Sound.
  • Technology.
  • Keyboards.
  • Percussion.
  • Art.
  • Relaxation.

Course length ranges from three to seven days - attendance certificates are provided at the completion of the courses. The Centre welcomes people waiting to use this time for respite care.

Cost:
Residential participants: £800.00
Non residential participants: £500.00
Price includes accommodation, meals, tuition and materials.
Bursary scheme is available for those with exceptional hardship.
