Description:
Only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting sufferers of aplastic anaemia and allied disorders. Few people know about this disease despite the fact that it is as common as some types of leukaemia and just as devastating.

Aims:

  • To help patients and their families who are coping with Aplastic Anaemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS).
  • To raise public awareness of Aplastic Anaemia and MDS.

Activities:

  • Acting as a support network, linking patients and families when requested.
  • Circulating information about Aplastic Anaemia And MDS.
  • Funds research into the cause and treatment of aplastic anaemia.
  • The Trust has funded state of the art in-patient and out-patient facilities which are used, either directly or indirectly, by 80% of aplastic anaemia sufferers.
  • Provide support and information to patients and their families; to anyone coping with aplastic anaemia or MDS.
