Description:
Action on Pain is a growing and vibrant national charity founded in 1998 to provide practical help and support to people living with or affected by chronic pain, irrespective of type, cause or origin, in order that they are able to still enjoy life to the full.

Aims:
Action on Pain's vision is that everybody affected by pain shall have early access to effective treatment and support wherever they live; whatever their circumstances; whatever their colour or creed.

They aim to:

  • develop high-quality networks with partners who are dedicated to enabling people who are affected by pain to enjoy their lives through effective treatment and self-management.
  • Provide support and advice for those affect by pain.
  • Raise the profile of pain with national/local governments to ensure that treatment for pain is adequately provided and resourced.

Activities:
They provide:

  • A dedicated telephone helpline manned by volunteers giving good practical help and advice.
  • A range of informative booklets in a friendly format.
  • A number of self-help groups, which provide real support and advice in a friendly and welcoming environment.
  • Latest news on their website.
  • Campaigning and lobbying on behalf of people affected by pain.
  • Speakers at conferences to healthcare professionals to raise awareness of the impact of pain.

Single - £16.00 per annum
Family - £18.00 per annum
Group - £25.00 per annum
Corporate - £250.00 per annum
