Aims:
To work to improve the quality of life for older people in the United Kingdom, and internationally, particularly those who are frail, isolated or poor, through the provision of advice, grants and campaigning.
Activities:
- SeniorLine: Freephone advice and information service for older people, their carers, relatives and friends.
- Provision of SeniorLink telephones (community alarms) - available for purchase and on a charitable basis.
- Grants made to community groups, working with older people.
- Fund-raising.
- Fund-raising advice and assistance to other charities.
- Campaigning and lobbying on issues affecting older people.
- Provides local services in communities across the UK and overseas.
- Undertakes research into the needs of older people.
- Free Care Advisory Service for long-term care.
