Description:
Alzheimer's Society can provide local contacts who offer carers groups, day care, home care, holidays and other local services.
As well as offering legal advice they can provide a list of publications, which show the many books and leaflets available.

Aims:
To give support and advice on all forms of dementia.

Activities:

  • Provides helplines and support for carers.
  • Runs quality day and home care.
  • Funds medical and scientific research.
  • Gives financial help to families in need.
  • Campaigns for improved health and social services and greater public understanding of all aspects of dementia.
  • Lesbian and gay carers helpline (contact national helpline for further details).
