Description:
Charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Neurofibromatosis.

Aims:

• To establish and maintain a network of neurofibromatosis Co-ordinators.
• To provide accessible, up to date information on Neurofibromatosis.
• To fund research into finding a treatment and, ultimately, a cure for the disorder.

Activities:

• Provides help, support and adice to those affected by either form of Neurofibromatosis, their families and the professionals working with them - to do this they employ a team of hospital based professional Neurofibromatosis Specialist Advisors around the UK.
• Provides relevant, up-to-date information on both forms of Neurofibromatosis for professionals, families and individuals.
• Funds research into both types of Neurofibromatosis.
• Provides activity holidays and breaks for children and adults with either form of Neurofibromatosis.
• Telephone helpline Monday and Tuesday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesday 9:00 am till 12 noon.
• Neurofibromatosis Co-ordinators: support and offer practical help and advice to those affected and their families.
• Encourage the establishment of local groups and volunteers throughout the UK.
• Raise awareness of the Neurofibromatosises among the general public through fundraising activities.

Membership:
£15.00 Individual, £22.00 family, £30.00 overseas (life membership available on request).
