The Meningitis Trust is an international charity with a strong community focus, fighting meningitis through the provision of support, education and awareness and research.
Aims:
- Working towards a world that is free from meningitis and where those affected by the disease receive quality care and support.
- Continuing to be the world authority on meningitis, leading the fight against the disease and empowering people and organisations through collaborative working, to reduce the threat of meningitis and its impact on people everywhere.
Activities:
- 24 hour helpline led by specially trained nurses.
- Network of community groups and volunteers.
- One to One Contacts.
- Professional counselling service.
- Financial grants (not available in Ireland).
- Home visiting service.

Membership:
Becoming a Friend of the Meningitis Trust (UK only) allows you to become a special part of the Meningitis Trust. Being a Friend will bring you regular updates on the progress of their research, support and awareness. Above all, your support as a Friend will enable their work to continue and bring a day closer when they will conquer this devastating disease. As a Friend of the Meningitis Trust you will receive special benefits:

All these benefits are available to Friends for a minimum of £25.00 a year for individuals and £35.00 per year for a family or group of up to 4. You can pay your annual subscription by cheque or Direct Debit. Alternatively, you may choose to become a Friend for life. Life membership is a one off payment of £400.00 for an individual or £600.00 for a family/group of up to 4.
