Description:
National Association that helps people manage and prevent back pain.

Aims:

• To be dedicated to educating people on how to avoid preventable back pain and supporting those living with back pain.
• To provide education and information through its publications, telephone helpline and local branches.
• To campaign to raise the profile of issues surrounding back pain.
• To be a source of independent, evidence-based information about the causes, treatment and management of back pain.
• To promote best practice in the diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders of the spine.
• To prevent incapacity from back pain.

Activities:

• Funds research into causes and treatment of condition.
• Provides information service and telephone helpline.
• Develops education programmes concerning back pain.

Branches throughout the UK.

Membership:
Individual - £20.50 (£11.50 unwaged).
Family membership - £25.50, £14.50 concessionary.
Full professional - £35.00, Corporate £141.00
