Description:
Medical charity dedicated to helping promote awareness and understanding about allergies.

Aims:
To increase awareness, knowledge and understanding of allergies.

Activities:

• Provides training in allergy for health care professionals.
• Helping people to manage their allergies.
• Allergy helpline services.
• Raises funds for allergy research.
• The introduction of The Seal of Approval, The Consumer Award and the 'Free From.....' schemes to help consumers find suitable products for use as part of their allergy management programme.
• Works closely with GPs and Primary Health Care Services by providing up to date information on all aspects of allergy.
• Information, advice and support are available on most allergies, and chemical sensitivity, including details of the nearest allergy clinic and specialists involved.

Local Groups:
Runs a network of support groups.

Membership:
£15.00 per annum (£5.00 if you are on pension or receiving benefits).
