Description:
Information, signposting and advice for voluntary sector staff.

Aims:

• To provide a service for voluntary organisations, by providing them with solid information about new developments that are going to effect them.
• To get this relevant information out to voluntary organisations in as efficient and accessible way as possible.
• To ensure that voluntary organisations end up better informed.

Activities:

• Offering advice and support, signposting and information about the voluntary sector. All enquiries are dealt with by experienced staff.
• Provides a free telephone, e-mail or textphone service for anyone involved in the sector, whether as a volunteer, paid worker or trustee.
• Providing briefings, written information or a quick reponse to any questions asked by voluntary bodies.
• Referral to an expert advisor or policy officer within NCVO for more detailed assistance.
• Signposting to the appropriate organisation or agency, if NCVO can't help directly.
