Description:
Assisting in the provision of communication aids, computers, and the special assistive technology that people with disabilities need to use them.
Aims:
To provide specialised computer equipment to people with disabilities, of all ages, in order to aid their communication.
Activities:
- Prescribes, purchases and gives appropriate or adapted computer and communication equipment to people with disabilities.
- Advice, information and support on all aspects of computing for disabled people.
- Non-profit shop giving substantial discounts to people in rexeipt of Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance.
- Needs led, outcomes based technical assessments of the most appropriate hardware and software to enable a person to harness the benefits of ICT.
- Specialist ICT training in disabled people's homes.

- Fundraising.
- Co-operates with organisations who have the same or similar aims, interests and standards. These include:

- Other charities whose activities include supplying or supporting the purchase of communication equipment for people with disabilities.

- Donor organisations prepared to fund the purchase of equipment for people with disabilities.

- Assessment centres helping people with disabilities to determine their requirements for computer and communication equipment.
