Description:
Centre of excellence for the treatment of children who stammer.

Aims:
To provide practical help for stammering children.

Activities:

  • Specialist assessment, support and therapy for children aged 2 - 18 years who stammer, and their families.
  • Therapy, conducted for different age groups on a weekly or intensive group basis.
  • Research projects.
  • Specialist advice and training in the treatment of stammering for speech and language therapists, teachers and other professionals countrywide.

Cost:
Assessment is funded by ARSC. Specialist therapy will usually be funded through the NHS.
