Description:
The LINK Centre is a national UK organisation for deafened men and women.

Aims:
To assist adjustment to deafness by providing psychological support and practical help and advice.

Activities:
LINK provides special intensive rehabilitation to deafened men and women. The service is delivered through week-long programmes, each attended by groups of deafened patients and their families, with information and support prior to and following the programme.

Programmes include:

• Counselling.
• Communication skills.
• Technical assistance.
• Stress management.
• Practical advice and support.

Link also provides:

• An outreach volunteer scheme.
• Intensive rehabilitation programmes.
• Challenging Deafness programmes.
• Social support groups.
• PLUS - implant support programmes.
• Training for professionals.
• Information and research.
