Description:
Promotes research into metabolic diseases and supports families.

Aims:

• To further medical research in metabolic diseases in children and young people.
• To support children with metabolic diseases and their families.
• To raise public awareness about metabolic diseases and their effects.
• To make grants and allowances for the purpose of medical treatment and care of children and young people suffering from metabolic diseases to parents, hospitals, homes or institutions.

Activities:

• Funds research.
• Puts parents of children with metabolic diseases in touch with each other for support and mutual benefit.
• Provides parents and carers of children and young people with a counselling and advice service.
• Makes grants to professionals and parents caring for children.
