Description:
Support group for those caring for people with Picks disease or other frontal lobe dementias.

Aims:

• To help put people in touch with others who understand the distress and burden caused by this disease.
• To offer support to carers of patients with Picks disease or other frontal lobe dementias.

Activiteis:

• Offers help, support and understanding to carers throughout the UK, as the group recognise that there are few facilities tailored for the younger person with dementia.
• The group supports carers of patients with a wide range of rarer dementia diagnoses including:
  • Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration or Picks which includes Frontotemporal Dementia.
  • Frontal Lobe Degeneration.
  • Semantic Dementia and Primary Progressive Aphasia.
  • Corticobasal Degeneration.
  • Dementia with Lewy Bodies.
  • Alcohol Related Dementia.
  • Korsakoff Syndrome.
• Hold regular meetings.
• The group also arranges days out and short breaks.
