Description:
Support services for children with arthritis and limb disabilities. On 1st December 2004 the work of the Lady Hoare Trust was formally transferred to Contact a Family.

Aims:
To help children with arthritis or limb disabilities by providing them and their families with practical, financial and emotional support.

Activities:

  • The core work of the Trust is the employment of specially trained field workers, all of whom are qualified social workers, who help children and their families cope with their disability.
  • Emotional support and an advice and information service to meet the diverse needs of families of affected children.
  • Small grants are available to cover additional costs a family may occur, such as: clothes and bedding, travel to hospital and clinics and equipment purchase.
