Description:
Working to help those affected by severe mental illness recover a better quality of life.
Aims:
To support people with schizophrenia and severe mental illness, their families and carers.
Activities:
Rethink offers a full spectrum of services, including housing, community services, services to support carers, employment and training services, registered care and nursing homes, telephone helplines, and advocacy services.
Rethink also offers a range of specialist services, including services for people from black and ethnic minorities, for people leaving care, mentoring services, mental health promotion, as well as Act Up, their theatre company. They are also piloting a Self-Management programme, as well as working together with NIMHE on a National Early Intervention programme.
Membership:
Membership is free, but donations are appreciated.
