Description:
Designs home-based rehabilitation programmes for brain-injured children between the ages of six months and 12 years. For details of any similar services which may be available for adults please contact Headway - the brain injury association.

Aims:
To use a milti-faceted approach to overcome the developmental difficulties associated with brain injury in children.

Activities:

  • Designs home-based programmes of rehabilitation for brain injured children from six months to 12 years of age involving a series of physical and cognitive evercises. Advises parents/carers/volunteers in order to carry out this process.
  • The centre aims to complement rather than replace services already offered such as physiotherapy, and speech therapy.
  • Also provide short residential therapy.
