Description:
Co-ordinating the research, treatment and diagnosis of a wide range of diseases.

Aims:
To be a centre of excellence for clinical trials, meta-analyses and epidemiological studies in order to strengthen and expand the evidence-base for health care nationally and internationally.

Activities:
Undertakes trials in a wide range of diseases. Whilst maintaining a portfolio of high-quality research in cancer and HIV trials, it also undertakes research in areas such as rheumatoid arthritis, respiratory disorders, infectious diseases, and haematotological disease.
