Description:
Promoting the understanding of acquired brain injuries.

Aims:

• To seek to promote understanding of all aspects of acquired brain injury.
• To provide information and expert input to policy makers and others to promote the interests of brain injured people and their families.

Activities:

• Setting up working parties and conferences to discuss any aspect of acquired brain injury.
• Stimulating debate between members and other relevent organisations, which includes organising conferences, running regional groups and producing position papers on relevant topics.
• Providing briefings to the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on acquired brain injury and other policy-making bodies on topics relevant to acquired brain injury.
• Working with the media to ensure that acquired brain injury takes high priority in the public domain.
• Working with the membership and the UK's leading experts to prepare briefings on particular subjects based upon the best data and models of practice on specific subjects or topics in order to:
  • Provide expert opinion, based on evidence-based medicine/management, on acquired brain injury.
  • Provide authoritative information to policy makers and national working parties or committees.

Membership:
Personal £25.00 per annum.
Organisation £75.00 per annum.
