Aims:

  • To keep abreast of technological developments which may be helpful in this field.
  • To support children's access to the National Curriculum by assessment and loan of appropriate assistive technologies.
  • To develop teaching strategies and materials.
  • To investigate new ways of modifying existing equipment to make it more appropriate to the special needs of individual children.

Activities:

  • Assess need, loan equipment and monitor progress continually.
  • Ensure supply and maintenance of equipment.
  • Modify and tailor equipment to individual need.
  • Develop new resources.
  • Support and train staff.
