Description:
Support to children with head injuries & other aquired brain injuries. Previously known as Children's Head Injury Trust.

Aims:

• To relieve the disabilities of head injured children and children with other aquired brain injuries.
• To increase understanding within the professions and the general public of the problems and difficulties associated with head injury in children.
• To promote research to further the understanding and treatment of head injury in children.
• To create local support groups to help in the recovery and rehabilitation of head injured children and their families.

Activities:

• Gives information and advice to the families and friends of children with head injuries and to appropriate pofessionals.
• Runs a hardship fund for families.
• Organises support groups.
• Produces literature.
• Puts individuals in contact with each other.
• Runs meetings and conferences.
• Maintains database of specialist provision for rehabilitation and education, and of qualified psychologists.
• Research sponsorship.
