Description:
Major provider of specialist services for young people with epilepsy.

Aims:
To provide education, treatment and care for children and young people with epilepsy and other special needs.

Activities:

  • Working in parnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, NCYPE offers tailored programmes bringing together education, treatment and care for more than 200 students aged from 5 - 19.
  • Offering assessment services for children with severe epilepsy and neuro-disabilities in partnership with the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, which is designed to provide holistic assessment. A consultancy led multi-disciplinary team work with the young person, their families or carers for six weeks to provide a detailed report and recommendations including medical, social, educational and behavioural aspects.
