Description:
Organisation established to provide support to cardiac patients and their carers.

Aims:

• To provide support and advice to heart patients and their carers.
• To represent the independent voice of both the patient and the carer.

Activities:

• Offer unconditional help, support, reassurance and advice to cardiac patients, their families and carers, support is available via meetings, the telephone, fax and e-mail.
• Area groups, meet regularly and many organise social activities and events.
• Help and advise organisations who need information about cardiac patients and their problems in addition to ensuring that the patients perspective is properly and accurately presented.
• Represent the patient on Government bodies, research working groups, Health Improvement Programmes, nursing bodies, and many others.
• Regularly purchase equipment.
