Description:
Provides access to dog training for people with physical disabilities.
Aims:
To provide access to dog training for people with physical disabilities, enabling them to train their pets in general obedience and in specialised tasks which will help them better manage their disability in everyday life.
Activities:
Dog AID is designed to give a measure of independence and provide owners with the knowledge to train other tasks. This allows them to adapt the training to their own needs with an instructor, who is able to give advice should it be requested.
Dog AID does not actually supply dogs. What Dog AID does do is to help people train their own dog to be generally obedience trained as good pets and to help around the house.
