Provider of publications and training for the voluntary sector.

Aims:
To help voluntary and community organisations become more effective.

Activities:

• Publishes an extensive range of over 100 guides and handbooks for charities, including guides on fundraising, management, finance and law.
• The running of over 350 training courses each year, throughout England and Scotland, covering such topics as: management, personnel and training, personal development, communication, fundraising, finance and law.
• Conferences, many of which are run on an annual basis including: Charity Management, Charity Accountants' Conference, and the Charity Law Conference.
• The DSC also runs Charity Fair, the annual conference, events programme and exhibition, that takes place each Spring in London.
