Description:
Freephone helpline providing a confidential listening service to anyone affected by the death of a child of any age, however long ago or recent. Staffed by bereaved parents who have a rigorous training and supervision.
Open every evening (Monday - Sunday: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm)
Mornings (Monday - Friday: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm)
Afternoons (Tuesday and Wednesday: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm)
Aims:
To provide a quality freephone service to anyone affected by the death of a child of any age, including parents, grandparents, siblings, other family members, friends or involved professionals.
Activities:
- Offers a confidential, safe environment within which the caller can talk openly about the child's life and death. Callers are given the opportunity to freely express their worries and emotions.
- Provides support not only at times of crisis but also for ongoing needs of callers over their lifetime.
