Description:
To support the right of disabled people to have children and to be well resourced for the task of parenting.
Aims:
- To offer support and information on all aspects of pregnancy and parenting to all disabled people.
- To educate, raise awareness and promote role models and positive images of disabled people as parents.
Activities:
- Helpline - Monday, Tuesday,Thursday, Friday: 12:00 noon till 2:00 pm, Wednesday: 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm.
- Contact register to put parents and would-be parents in touch with each other and a professional contact register for professionals working with disabled parents.
- Provides a practical helpline to answer questions and gathers information about equipment and adaptations.
- Provides a resource list with useful contacts and addresses for finding out about pregnancy, parenthood and disability.
- Campaigns and networks to improve services and support for disabled people in pregnancy and parenthood.
- Assists with the training of professionals and voluntary workers who work alongside disabled parents and parents to be.
- Provides a selection of photographs, drawings and cartoons of disabled parents which can be used as an exhibition for local events, workshops etc.

£10.00 per annum.
