Description:
Provides sporting and leisure opportunities for deaf people.

Aims:

• To ensure that deaf people have the same opportunities as their hearing contemporaries to participate in sport and leisure.
• To organise competitors to participate in European and World Championships and World Games for the Deaf. (now known as Deaflypics).

Activities:
On a regular basis the BDSC organises inter-club leagues, inter-regional tournaments and national championships. BDSC is involved in a large number of sports and is recognised by the major sports associations as the main organisation for deaf participation.
